Som udgangspunkt har en Windows-pc ikke fast ip-adresse med mindre man gør noget aktivt for at sikre dette.

Hvad kan man gøre for at sikre det, og har det nogen betydning hvis man har en fast id adresse?

Tildele netkortet en fast ip adresse.

Det gør du i egenskaber for netkort.

Jeg har netop prøvet at tildele min pc en fast ip adresse. Det virkede fint, men det betød dog at netværksforbindelsen på min pc forsvandt. Hvorfor sker det?

Fordi du mangler lidt basal viden om fast ip adresse.....

Har du valgt en ip adresse i dit nuværende adresse range?
Har du husket subnet mask og default gateway?
Har du husket DNS servere?

Et alternativ til at pille ved netværksopsætningen på pc'en kan være at sætte routerens DHCP-server til altid at tildele den samme ip-adresse ud fra pc'ens mac-adresse. Det har den fordel, at så virker pc'en også, hvis man har behov for at sætte den på andre netværk.

Det afhænger af hvilken router, der er tale om. Det må være beskrevet i manualen eller i hjælpeteksterne i routerens web-interface.

Jeg er nu logget ind på min router, men der er ikke mulighed for at tildele den samme ip-adresse ud fra pc'ens mac-adresse.
Det skal lige siges at jeg har internet fra Stofa. Jeg ved der kan være et par komplikationer ved det.
