Hi there
I'm from Germany and I am new in this forum. Unfortunately, I do not speak any Danish. :-( But I have a question that only Danish native speakers can answer. In the episode "My Interpretation" of the TV show "Scrubs" some actors speak German. In the German version of this episode, those actors do not speak German but Danish. Here are those scenes from Scrubs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuTQiZyAHk8 I'd like to know, if they really do speak Danish correctly or if they just pretend to speak Danish by making some sounds that appear to be Danish to a German native speaker. Thank you in advance for your answers. |

The patient himself doesn't have any accent and sounds like a native dane to me, but his brother and the docter woman (Dr. Elliot Reid? ) have a german accent. The docters accent is worse than the patients brother though.
Can't understand why you would ever watch the german synchronized version of the show though?

Isn't almost every show synchronized in Germany?
It doesn't really make it easy to watch TV if you are hard of hearing....

Yes, unlike in Danmark, Norway or Sweden every foreign TV show or movie is dubbed into German, here. We have got used to dubbed TV shows and movies and most of us wouldn't watch subtitled shows or movies. It's just a habbit, but TV stations have to dub if they want to make money with those shows or movies.
Could anyone of you please write down what they are saying (i.e. the Danish dialogs in Danish, not translate it into English)? |
